Inrange Lab Vets ADVA Networking Solutions - Brief Article

Germany's ADVA Optical Networking [FSE: ADV], a provider of optical networking technology, says Inrange Technologies [Nasdaq: INRG], which offers high-availability, enterprise connectivity and storage-networking capabilities, qualified ADVA's Fiber Service Platform (FSP) systems with its line of IN-VSN FC/9000 Fibre Channel Directors. The testing was performed at Inrange's Interoperability Initiative Lab (I3), in Lumberton, N.J. The new FSP features, including 2:1 time-division multiplexing functionality and a 2 Gigabit Fibre Channel card, were qualified along with the 64-, 128-, and 256-port models of the FC/9000.

"I3 interoperability testing assures customers that ADVA's Fiber Service Platform is fully interoperable with Inrange's FC/9000, enabling customers to extend their storage networks across the enterprise and benefit from reliable and economical data availability," says Dale Lafferty, Inrange's vice president of marketing and alliances. Both companies will be exhibiting their technologies at next month's CeBIT show Hannover, Germany.
