Fault-tolerant Ethernet switches have nine ports

Real-time ring Ethernet switches are self-configurable, run without complex configuration steps and allow over 50 switches to be connected in a ring.
Sixnet proudly introduces the Industrial Real-time Ring Ethernet switch (model ET-9RS). At the same price of the original industrial switches, these pack in a lot more features. Delivering reliability and performance through its ultra-fast, fault-tolerant network redundancy and other features, the Ring switches are ideal for PLC (automation) systems.

The Real-time Rings are self-configurable and run without the complex configuration steps required by other alternatives.

They provide a recovery time of less than 5ms per hop and allow over 50 switches to be connected in a ring.

These features are essential for real-time, deterministic control and distributed systems.

The ET-9RS provides networking features like priority queuing for real-time performance and port mirroring for advanced diagnostics.

Messages get filtered to prevent broadcast storms and there are no delays with store and forward wire-speed (non-blocking) switching.

Sixnet switches offer a unique long-term (20 year) support policy and ultra-reliability with over 1,000,000h mean time between failures (MTBF).

In addition, the product is UL, CSA, and CE certified, has marine and hazardous ratings, MIL-STD-1275 surge protection and a -40 to 85 deg C standard operating temperature range.

SIXNET switches have already been proven in many military, outdoor and marine applications.

There are several Real-time Ring switch models available for all types of needs.

They offer different combinations of copper and fibre ports, for connections up to 40km or more.

The switches can be ordered pre-configured for true plug and play operation or field configured with an easy to use Windows utility.
